  • In the final organizational standings the state’s major league affillitates finished in the lower half of the league: Rays (17), Reds (27) and Astros (30 of 30).
  • Jiovanni Mier (2), Juri Perez (10) and Jonathan Meyer (18) each were ranked on BA’s top 20 prospects list for the rookie Appalachian League. The three Astros’ farmhands may all end up in Lexington in 2010.
  • UK alum Chris Rusin was on invited to the Arizona Instructional League for top prospects by the Cubs.
  • WKU sports reports PGCrosschecker named Kes Carter the 19th best prospect in the Coastal Plains Summer League.
  • The Bats have released their 2010 schedule.
  • The Legends 2010 schedule is out as well.
  • Synthetic turf has been installed at EKU’s Turkey Hughes field.
