EKU wins first series of 2010 with 9-4 victory Sunday

Eastern Kentucky University earned its first series victory of the season with a 9-4 win Sunday over Presbyterian. The Colonels improved to 4-3 on the year and were once again led by junior third baseman Jayson Langfels, who was 2-4 with two RBI and a run scored. Sophomore catcher A. J. Jamison launched a pinch hit home run, and junior center fielder Ryan Faidley hit his first home run of the season.

Freshman right-handed pitcher Anthony Bazzani earned his first win of the season after allowing two runs on three hits in seven innings. Freshman second baseman Matt Phipps added two hits in the game. (Box Score)
