Murray State University used a six-run fifth inning to take turn a five-run deficit into a one-run lead en route to a 16-6 win over Mid-Continent College. The Thoroughbreds scored seven runs in the bottom of the seventh to put game one of a double-header out of reach. Breds senior first baseman Wes Cunningham launched two home runs and drove in four. Senior right-handed pitcher Chris Craycraft earned the win after allowing six runs, only one of which was earned, in seven innings. Craycraft struck out seven and walked one. BluGrass Baseball POG: Wes Cunningham — Cunningham has been the most impressive hitter in the Bluegrass so far in 2010. The senior slugger was 2-3 with two home runs, four RBI and three runs scored in game one Friday. On the season, Cunningham is batting .442 with eight home runs and 27 RBI.
