Murray State rallies from down five to win 16-6

Murray State University used a six-run fifth inning to take turn a five-run deficit into a one-run lead en route to a 16-6 win over Mid-Continent College. The Thoroughbreds scored seven runs in the bottom of the seventh to put game one of a double-header out of reach. Breds senior first baseman Wes Cunningham launched two home runs and drove in four. Senior right-handed pitcher Chris Craycraft earned the win after allowing six runs, only one of which was earned, in seven innings. Craycraft struck out seven and walked one. Shortstop Brandon Elliott was 3-3 with three RBI and three runs scored. (Box Score)

BluGrass Baseball POG: Wes Cunningham — Cunningham has been the most impressive hitter in the Bluegrass so far in 2010. The senior slugger was 2-3 with two home runs, four RBI and three runs scored in game one Friday. On the season, Cunningham is batting .442 with eight home runs and 27 RBI.
