Spring roundup: Nathan Adock surrenders three runs in start

Stats and highlights from Thursday Kentucky Spring Training action:

  • Elizabethtown native Nathan Adcock‘s scoreless spring came to an end after he surrendered three runs on four hits in two innings for the Kansas City Royals.
  • Louisville native Trever Miller surrendered two runs on one hit in one inning for the St. Louis Cardinals.
  • Offseason Louisville resident Matt Maloney pitched a scoreless inning for the Cincinnati Reds.
  • Atlanta Braves left-handed pitcher Jonny Venters, who was born in Pikeville, struck out two batters in a scoreless inning versus the Marlins.
  • In that same game Braves second baseman Dan Uggla, who was born in Louisville, was 0-3 with two strikeouts.
  • Baltimore Orioles third baseman Mark Reynolds, who was born in Pikeville, was 0-3 and is batting just .196 this spring.
